Doing the double… it’s been an exciting few weeks for hair legend, Errol Douglas MBE. Whilst he is no stranger to winning awards – obviously the highest of accolades being the MBE presented to him by Her Majesty The Queen in 2008 – Errol has now racked up two wins for 2021. And well-deserved we say, in recognition of his always enthusiastic support of the industry and premium-standard services in delivering to client and colleague alike, all-round amazing hair.

The CEW is a professional organisation that promotes the beauty industry – numbering some 10,500 members and quoting as its mission the sharing of education, empowerment, recognition and philanthropy. We’re all in favour of this! Well, at the 2021 CEW Achiever Awards, our man Errol was deservedly honoured with the Special Industry Award for International Hairdresser of the Year. All the more meaningful for being voted for by industry insiders.

“Errol Douglas is globally recognised as an ultimate artisan within the hairdressing industry”, explained organisers of the awards.
Commenting on his win, Errol says; “To be recognised by some of the most highly regarded names in the beauty industry is a huge honour. Being named International Hairdresser of the Year is a title I am truly proud to receive.”

And, compounding this as a pretty good year despite everything (and as if on tribute wasn’t enough), to make it a double win the Fellowship for British Hairdressing also awarded Errol the Fellowship Hairdresser of the Year, for the second time having first won it in 2004. Certainly from where we sit, Errol has been a force of support for the Fellowship for yonks, constantly striving to help raise standards, awareness and community. Oh yes, and his hairdressing is pretty terrific also. We are mesmerised by how Errol has been nominated in the top category of the British Hairdressing Awards for more than two decades. That is some achievement, too. Perhaps there should be a British Lifetime Legend trophy created specifically for him… just saying?!
