Going Dutch takes on a whole new meaning with the launch of The House of Keune by Bloom in London’s West End this Autumn! At a colourful and upbeat party the family-owned Keune Haircosmetics company brought their 100-year history as a leading brand to bear in opening a fabulous flagship salon and academy in the UK’s capital. It’s quite a proposition!
House of Keune
Starting with the purpose-built property on Museum St (a stone’s throw from Tottenham Court Rd underground), let’s take a look at what’s happening. A new 5,700 square foot, state-of-the-art building features a 29 seat salon and training academy, Comptoir Gourmand coffee shop and bakery, and is home to the Keune UK headquarters.
Bloom Lifestyle takes on the salon operation, run by salon group owner Sheona Forrest who welcomes a brand new team including creative director, JR Slane. This will also be the base for UK Colour Ambassador Jo Mckay and UK Creative Ambassador Andrew Barton. Exuberance exudes throughout in personality and looks!
A statement in the UK
Joining the London team for the launch event on 17th October, Keune UK welcomed a host of industry press and guests to discover more about the brand’s product range, education plans, and to meet key figures with the business, including CEOs George and Eelco Keune,
In his welcome speech, General Manager of the UK, Darren Potter said: “The launch of The House of Keune by Bloom is an incredibly exciting next step for us, and to open during Keune Haircosmetics’ 100-year anniversary, marks another significant milestone in our company’s history and our commitment to the professional hairdressing industry.
“We wanted to make a real statement here in the UK and we believe opening a flagship salon and academy in Central London is the right move for Keune UK. We are passionate about the hairdressing industry and have always been loyal to the professional hairdresser. The House of Keune by Bloom is a welcoming, creative space that will act as a central function to support our salon network through training and education to inspire mutually sustainable business growth with our dedicated salon partners.”
The ethos for Hsoue of Keune by Bloom is to offer a creative space – somewhere to hang out, work, grab a coffee, be inspired – both as hairdresser and client. We think it’s an awesome testament to the brand’s commitment to professional hairdressing in the UK and what a fabulous springboard for growth here. Keep watching for more news on this exciting launch!
