Champions of the high street but equally fierce in promoting progress and pushing for more, the HOB creative team know how to please the client, the industry and the media. They’ve lifted a fair few trophies in their time – as has their leader, Akin Konizi. He has been British Hairdresser of the Year four times to date. Now the team has a new trophy to add to the haul and a massively prestigious one, too. The HOB creative team have been named winners of the AIPP Best Commercial Collection of the Year.

The annual Association Internationale Presse Professionelle Coiffure awards – which are judged by magazine editors from around the world – collects entries from salons and artists in five categories. This year there were some 575 hair fashion collections submitted from 31 countries. Awarded top prize in the commercial collection category, HOB creative team.
Based in Camden in London (founded in 1997 as part of the HOB Salons group), the team includes of Akin Konizi, Jake Unger and Nestor Sanchez. They won the title with stunning commercial images from their Icon Collection. The images showcase wearable, fashionable and eye-catching styling.
