A new king of hairdressing – British Hairdresser of the Year – is announced at the British Hairdressing Awards 2019: Robert Eaton takes the title!
British Hairdresser of the Year
What a night and what a result! After hours, weeks, months of anticipation, an excited crowd at the British Hairdressing Awards heard the news; Robert Eaton is now the British Hairdresser of the Year 2019. Fabulous news for a young man who started his career in his father’s salon. From Russell Eaton in Barnsley, north England, and has stormed his way into the hairdressing industry’s consciousness! We’re thrilled for him. Although this was Robert’s first year being nominated, amongst a really celebrated group of finalists in the competition, Robert has earned his reward the hard way, with work and dedication. He was part of the British Fellowship for British Hairdressing’s FAME team; he’s won the L’Oréal Colour Trophy, and is a member of the BHAs Hall of Fame for winning North-Eastern Hairdresser of the Year three times. Indeed, this win is no fluke. We love his collection and wish him well.
While the competitors for the top prize have to submit collections for judging prior to the evening, on the night of the Awards, all are invited to present one or two models in a show. [We’re not sure of the point of this, since judging is already done, but it’s nice to see…]. All our wonderful Tribu-te friends including three of our artists from October’s Tribu-te show, did an amazing job. Browse the Gallery and admire their work. Oh yes, and bravo to Lesley Jennison and Tyler Johnston at Schwarzkopf Professional – who sponsor the entire event – for their fabulous opening show, also!
