The Alternative Hair Show is quite a longstanding feature on the hairdressing calendar and its return is both comforting and exciting! We really can now return to fabulous live events, and this charity show is important. The Alternative Hair Show is where hairdressers can express their artistry, skill and creativity, and this year it takes place in one of the most unique and exclusive venues in London – Troxy Art Deco theatre, East London. The show has been running 40 years and is in aid of Fighting Leukaemia, the Alternative Hair Charitable Foundation. Here’s what you can expect:
After 2 years of Virtual Streaming, the 2022 Alternative Hair Show, LEGENDS, will be LIVE once again – with an audience capacity of over 3,000 and with fantastic views of the stage.The Alternative Hair Show is the only international stage that recognises the legends of global hairstyling and promotes up-and-coming new talent, and Alfaparf Milano Professional is delighted to be the main sponsor this year. On the night, among the big stars you will see Alfaparf’s Global Creative Director and internationally famous hairstylist, Rudy Mostarda, one of the most renowned and revered hairstylists in the world, and an entrepreneur. In 1999 he founded the brand Extrema Hair, which now has more than 90 affiliated salons, he has also taken part in Milan Fashion Week as a Creative Director for several iconic brands.
Sunday’s LEGENDS Show will host the grand final of the 2022 Visionary Awards as well as the Legends Artistic Teams. Everyone buying tickets for the main show will also be able to watch the Virtual VISIONARY AWARDS SHOW which takes place on Saturday 8th The Visionary Awards has grown massively since Anthony Mascolo, Alternative Hair President, came up with the concept as a way of promoting and inspiring new talent. Surprisingly entries have not diminished over the last 2 years and this year promises to be a truly exciting and creative event.
