“Hello and welcome to The Big One Awards 2024!  I’m Nicky Pope, UK publisher for Tribu-te magazine.” And so it began. Our 4th edition of Hair Pieces show hosted the Grand Final of The Big One 2024 and the venue at Battersea Arts Centre proved a glorious setting again.

Nicky told the audience and finalists gathered to watch: “At such a time of change in our industry, I hope you relish the opportunity to come together in a positive, happy way to celebrate hairdressing. It’s a timely reminder of what we are fighting for – our hairdressing industry must survive. And it will. Together we can achieve anything.”

Sponsors thanked

Before turning to the business of the Tribu-te Awards giving, credit was due to the sponsors L’Oréal Professionnel and Oribe who supported the event. In all innovation, we need people with vision, a sense of daring and of community. Becoming a sponsor isn’t simply about financially underwriting costs! Each of our benefactors is a great partner to Tribu-te and upholds our values, and our wish to serve the industry.
