Fans of Tribu-te can’t fail to know of our regard for Tim Hartley as one of the great influential characters in hairdressing! So, we didn’t need asking twice to attend a recent 2-hour masterclass delivered by Mr Hartley to a highly select audience in London and now available online to everyone, anywhere
Masterclass: Tim’s legacy
Tim Hartley is one of the most eloquent and watchable tutors you’ll ever have the opportunity to see at work. We have abundant respect for his 30-years history at Vidal Sassoon, culminating in his role as the international creative director, and his many years since as a solo stage artist and educator. The term ‘icon’ is over-used and often has become under-valued in hairdressing these days, so we prefer to describe Tim as a legend, a national treasure even! Now, embracing the digital era with gusto, Tim has recorded a session demonstrating how he creates six looks with complete openness and generosity in describing his methods and showcasing his techniques. It was magic to watch.
We loved it. And thanks for this gallery below of finished looks from photographer Antonio Grosos:

The connectivity and ‘access all areas’ visibility offered by the Internet and social media platforms can mean that there is plenty of great and inspirational content available which anyone can tap into. However, the flip side of this is that there is little regulation and you shouldn’t believe that just because it’s online, it’s worthy. So, let us direct you a little and highlight one channel that does deliver select educational seminars which are quality, edited and value for your subscription. At hairdressinglive.com you’ll find a great choice of artists. Enjoy!
Here online you may browse our Portfolio section to find inspiration from the greatest hair artists… read our Blog to discover the top events and what we like about them… then visit our Magazine section to read the latest edition (and archive editions) of Tribu-te publications.
