Chapter 1 of A Brooklyn Story is ‘Ideas on North 11th Street’. A collection of imagery which explains the journey of creativity from Tom Connell. The processes involved in bringing the result you desire, is often what hairdresser Tom finds most intriguing. Now he explores photography as part of that journey to bring us this collection. It’s inspired by the process of a photo shoot – marrying the intentions of the hairdresser with the capturing of images that are provocative and interesting.

The long name for the collection is: A Brooklyn Story: Chapter 1 Ideas on North 11th Street. A nod to the New York location for the shoot, and also the intimation of more to come.

“A series of high-contrast black and white images exploring the curious, contrasting shapes created during the course of a haircut.” Tom Connell
