As the Cop 26 conference on sustainability gets underway, The British Beauty Council issues the Planet Positive Beauty Guide which helps you navigate our potential.
Guidance for all
If you, your colleagues or clients are confused about how to make greener choices when it comes to shopping for hair products, you’re not alone. In fact, a recent study of 23,000 beauty shoppers found that almost half of them want to know more about how to make more ethical purchases and are actually struggling to find the information they need.
Encouragingly, more and more people want to learn more about brands’ values and commitments to the environment so that they can do their bit for a healthier planet. Things like ingredients, recyclability of packaging and animal welfare came up as the most frequently searched topics and puzzling buzzwords like ‘cruelty-free’, ‘sustainable’ and ‘net zero’ are putting people into a head spin. So, wouldn’t having a clear guide on what’s what, right at our fingertips, be a step in the right direction?
Well, British Beauty Council may have just come up trumps. They have created just that. Their Planet Positive Beauty Guide is an encyclopaedia of baffling terms, decoded industry language and suggestions of what to look for in order to help consumers build a more planet-friendly beauty regime. Think of it as your go-to guide to check every time you’re about to click ‘pay now’. And the best thing is that it’s super easy to access. Just visit their website and download it, completely free of charge. British Beauty Council – mother nature salutes you!
