Korea-based designer Minju Kim created a Fashion in Motion for the renowned series at the V&A Museum in London, showing her joyful and bold style. And L’Oréal Professionnel created bespoke hair looks for each model in the show. The brand has had a long relationship with Fashion in Motion fashion shows which feature leading global designers and wins many admirers.
About Minju Kim
Minju Kim, the first inaugural winner of Netflix’s Next In Fashion programme, launched her brand in 2015 after winning the H&M Design Award. Having studied at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp, she was a semi-finalist in the LVMH Prize for young fashion designers.
Minju Kim’s signature style blends youthful playfulness and avant-garde Haute Couture with bold shapes and feminine characteristics. For the hair, L’Oréal Professionnel created a mix of knots and twists to give a girly yet edgy feel. The team did not want the looks to be ‘too perfect.’

The V&A’s Fashion in Motion series brings catwalk shows by some of the greatest designers of our time to the V&A. The shows make catwalk couture more accessible to a wider audience, modelling it against the beautiful backdrop of the Museum. Previous designers in the series have included Christian Lacroix, Hardy Amies, Jean Paul Gaultier, Missoni, Stephane Rolland, Anne Valerie Hash, Swarovski, Gianfranco Ferre, Vivienne Westwood, Eley Kishimoto, Roksanda Illincic, Gareth, Erdem and Molly Goddard.
