Who says that social distancing equals awkward, ugly and cheap looking panels and plexiglas? With this new normal set to stay, Mewies & Co in Mountsorrel, Leicestershire have commissioned bespoke botanical screens to complement their hushed spa like surroundings. The result? A stunning looking salon with amazing design and atmosphere.
Dan Mewies, founder of Mewies & Co and Authentic Beauty Concept UK Ambassador says: “Our clients have always enjoyed the tranquility of appointments and rather than allowing the additional safety measures to hamper the look and feel of Mewies & Co, instead we have embraced the changes and installed screens that are both beautiful and functional and our clients can enjoy.”
Opened in August 2019, Mewies & Co hascreated a tailored hair spa that reflects their values and ethos of product partner Authentic Beauty Concept. Their ethos of holistic care extends beyond hair and in turn they’ve created a very individual salon with a hub of wellness services to enhance the overall customer experience including yoga, acupuncture, meditation and reiki.
Dan’s passion to really understand the customer, sense of community, strong relationships with local businesses and authentic belief in what he’s creating as a business marks out Mewies & Co as a truly different hairdressing space.
“Our clientele tend to visit for a couple of hours of rest and relaxation and the botanical screens along with the rest of the greenery in the salon, adds vibrancy, while reducing stress levels and helping with the mindful ethos we practice” he explains.
The salon is not only a beautiful space projecting relaxation and piece of mind; it is also unique and stands out with its very own personality; a perfect example of the importance of a brand’s identity. We love it.
