Tribu-te is delighted to support this year’s edition of the Figaro Awards (formerly the Spanish Hairdressing Awards) which have been running since 2010. In this, the 13th year and bearing in mind the limitations set on creative shoots by the Pandemic, the organisers are proud to announce that 136 collections were submitted across five categories. Bravo – this is quite a feat. The winners will be announced in October – coinciding with the Salon Look IFEMA MADRID expo, so that many international and influential industry pros will attend.

We’re pleased to share also that on the prestige panel of five judges, we include the UK publisher for Tribu-te magazine, Nicky Pope.
She joined hairdressers Angelo Seminara, Tony Rizzo, Angela Navarro and Alexis Continente to consider the entries.
Categories include:
Female Commercial
Male Commercial
Avant-garde
Spanish Hairdresser of the Year
International Hairdresser of the Year – launched in 2022
It’s interesting for us to see the inclusion this year for the first time of the International Hairdresser of the Year category – a trend we’ve seen in quite a few key competitions on the worldwide hair scene. A signal that we really should be working more towards a global industry approach – expanding out from a country or territory focus. Certainly we’re keen for this – Tribu-te as you will know is a keenly international brand. We’ll be watching and happy to share news as the Final event on October 24th approaches. Good luck everyone.
The Figaro awards are hosted by Club Figaro and the official sponsor is Revlon Professional, with seven professional beauty magazines and portals in Spain as the media sponsors.
