A product launch party hosted by Wonderful Brands (aka Nick Higgins and Andy Campling) and held at The Collective this week, gave us the opportunity to get to know the Eleven Australia team a little better! And guess who we met there?! Read on…
ALL THE PEOPLE – THE PARTY PEOPLE
Eleven Australia is the realisation of a dream shared by über-top photographer Andrew O’Toole (yep, the Andrew O’Toole) and one of his besties, four-times Australian Hairdresser of the Year Joey Scandizzo. Salon owner, award-winner and thoroughly nice chap we can report. In fact, it’s quite a dynamic dream-pairing of two creative souls, and we were thrilled to sit in on a conversation between the pair about how they met, what makes them click, and why Eleven Australia is so close to their hearts. Authenticity, belief in the professional market, and a desire to make things easy to embrace about sums it up. Bringing their brand to the UK means they’ve now launched in 26 countries in the past five years – impressive or what! An affordable, attractive, does-what-it-claims-with-bells-on range of styling products is bound to prove an attractive proposition to the UK market. Judging from the other ‘names’ we met in the room, they’ve got friends in high hair places. Errol Douglas, Nick Irwin, Lisa Shepherd and Karine Jackson were just a few we spotted.
Product portfolio worth reviewing
Cleansers, treatments, styling products with simple name such as ‘hydrate my hair’ (a moisture shampoo, obvs) and ‘keep my curl’ defining cream are clarity in a bottle! We’re loving the fast facts on the product properties, too; PETA cruelty free; recyclable packaging; anti-fade, colour-safe; Paraben-free; Vegan-friendly options; and Australian-made. Clean white packs and modern livery on the labels, seal the deal. There are body washes, brushes and even hot-tools. But hey, we’re not giving it all away. You have to do a little research for yourselves. On you go… you’re welcome!
