Are you or your clients interested in learning more about the work of Green Salon Collective? Their upcoming monthly events are aimed at educating both existing members and potential ones – sounds like a fit! We’ve seen how Green Salon Collective takes environmental and social issues incredibly seriously and so, in order to empower people with up-to-date information on sustainability, they have curated a series of virtual and in-person events. Take your pick:
Green agenda
Hair Rope Making with lead researcher Sanne Visser – is takes place in London on Monday 28th February from 7pm until 10pm. Sanne is an expert at hair rope making and is always looking for ways to recycle the unrecyclable. This workshop brings her craft to Green Salon Collective members, inviting hairdressers to try their hands at it themselves. Your creation can then be fastened onto hanging planters to display either at home or in-salon. To book, email fry@greensaloncollective.com and then follow on social media if you miss the actual night
Trash Talk is a free virtual event happening on Tuesday 1st March at 7pm. Join in the chat on all things that are, well, Trash Talk! GSC explain what they do and why they do it. Gain ideas on how it can help your business and drum up new clients.
Earth Day Night (£60 or free for GSC members) is taking place on Zoom on Tuesday April 19th at 7pm. Sponsored by L’Oréal Professionnel, GSC will be joined by guest speakers including Amy Nguyen, founder and editor of Sustainable and Social, and Lucy Siegle, author of Turning the Tide on Plastic. Each will be offering practical ideas on how to help your local communities fight climate change. The idea is for hairdressers and salon owners to find out more about the role they play in the future of our planet.
Serious stuff but imaginatively presented we say. Let us know how you get on!
