British Beauty Week 2025

In Uncategorized by Nicky

For its seventh consecutive year, British Beauty Week drew a lot of attention both for the live events, and the online reach. British Beauty Week is a week-long celebration of the British beauty industry’s creativity, innovation, and global influence. As well as live events held in London (across three floors at the RSA near the Strand), many salons around the country also held smaller local events. And responded to a call to invite local MPs into their premises to find out more about the hair and beauty industry specifically in their area. Nicky Pope, publisher of Tribu-te Magazine UK and the Chair of the Hair Committee at the BBCo, hosted several demos including sessions presenting the work of Sam McKnight with the highly esteemed Val Garland, Michael Douglas, and Tendai Moya CEO at Ruka Hair.

Together, the pair embody the cross-generational influence and innovation that make British beauty unique. As Ambassadors, they will collaborate with the British Beauty Council throughout the week to spotlight the people, brands, and ideas driving the industry’s future from sustainable innovation to skills development and social mobility.

“We are so pleased to appoint Jerry and Georgia May at British Beauty Week Ambassadors for 2025, expanding on Georgia May’s role as Wellbeing Ambassador. Beauty has been intrinsic to both of their careers, in the same way that it is for so many of the cultural icons that shape the creative industries in the UK. Their appointment not only reiterates the power of beauty for shaping identity but also showcases both the intersection of beauty and fashion and the intergenerational power of our £30.4bn industry” – Millie Kendall OBE, Founder and CEO of the British Beauty Council.

Jerry says

“I am honoured to join the British Beauty Council as an ambassador for British Beauty Week, especially alongside my daughter, Georgia May. Beauty – the products, the makeup artists, hair stylists – has been intrinsic to my career, in fact it’s provided the very essence of my work. From signature looks to countless magazine covers beauty has acted as the foundation of my professional identity and enabled me to tell a story through photographs.

I am continuously inspired by the intergenerational nature of this sector. I was learning beauty tips from my own mother, and now I’ve had the joy of watching my daughters forge their own incredible paths. It’s this creativity that I want to champion this British Beauty Week”Jerry Hall, British Beauty Week Ambassador.

The British beauty sector is a powerhouse and this British Beauty Week is all about celebrating them and their futures. I am delighted to be working with the Council to ensure our industry is not as frivolous, but as a vital part of our culture, our confidence, and our economy” Georgia May Jagger, British Beauty Week Wellbeing Ambassador.
