2020/WTF by Sally Brooks

In Uncategorized by Nicky

Shaking up the British Hairdressing Awards with her third win puts Sally Brooks high on our radar – one of only five different women ever to take the title British Hairdresser of the Year. But what everyone’s talking about is how she created her brand new collection 2020/WTF using dolls heads, and stylised ones.

Making it a hat-trick, the co-owner of Brooks & Brooks in Holborn, secured the title once again after previously winning the award in 2017 and 2018. Sally claimed her status as the best hairdresser in Britain after showcasing phenomenal original hair work which not only demonstrated technical skills, but insightful, creative vision.

“I have always wanted to shoot a collection with these beautiful swan neck mannequins and 2020 seemed like the perfect year to do this. With so much of our beautiful industry struggling this year, my 2020/WTF collection is made with a limited budget and a belief that if we think outside the box, then anything is possible” says Sally.

Sally is an artist – check her personal Instagram @sallybrookshair for drawings of her cartoon figures – and this is clear in her winning collection 2020/ WTF. We absolutely love it.
