Vortex
An unsettled sky
Each look in the Vortex collection draws inspiration from the hues of an unsettled sky. The intention was to evoke a moody charcoal, slate grey, deep lilac, and reflective silver. The shades placed in dynamic patterns and powerful upward motion to conjure fleeting images of lightning piercing through clouds. This is divine drama working with the vegan Aveda full spectrum range of permanent, vibrants, and demi+ as well as enlightenment bonding.
“We wanted to elevate the concept of a tornado with this collection. We loved the idea of building the colour from the bottom up, similar to a cyclone shape.” says Joey Hooten, co-director of Hair Colour for the shoot and Van Michael Salons.
