Since the beginning of Lockdown it’s been so heart-warming to see the amount of positivity within the hairdressing industry. From free online education and step-by-step tutorials to entertainment videos, everyone is trying to keep inspired and connected; both the industry and the clients. To add to this, Schwarzkopf Professional makes its Essential Looks content free online for the first time.

International Creative Director at Schwarzkopf Professional, Simon Ellis, announced: “During these challenging times it’s more important than ever to remain strong and focused on your creative future. We want to make a difference and keep you inspired, to keep your dreams alive, to help you continue doing what you love – creating beautiful hair. We have decided to release our Essential Looks education content for you with free access. Discover our latest, exciting hair and colour ideas, engage, comment and most importantly, share!”

Global Colour Ambassador, Lesley Jennison, added, “The four digital educational package is normally open to just a few, but now we are so excited to announce that everyone will have full access, for free! These trend collections are inspired by the global catwalks, bringing global fashion and hair directly to you and your teams.”

THE Inspiration

Essential Looks celebrates the hairdressers’ passion for hair, for fashion and for the future. Perfect for the current climate really. Technology excites and inspires, but it’s a tool that only comes alive in a hairdresser’s hands. ‘For us it’s a passion, a commitment and a calling, to use our skills, our artistry.’

The inspiration of the latest collection, The Spirit Collection, comes straight from the diverse runways of 2020. Where the individual is put at the heart of the global zeitgeist all over the world. The collection celebrates the uniquely creative spirit that is the essence of every one of us.

The Spirit Collection- THE LOOKS

The Spirit Collection consists of three trends – Punk Spirit, Refined Traditions and Let It Bloom.

Punk Spirit is all about individuality; it’s quirky, it’s rebellious. Expressive and spirited but with a twist of softness. Layering and transparency create a moody glamour where anything goes; perfect for the free thinkers.

Refined Traditions reminds us that there is nothing old fashioned about craft. Timeless fabrications and classic shapes are subverted and evolved. Technical expertise reinvents tradition into a whole new kind of style that’s all about flair meets precision.

Finally, Let It Bloom, is inspired by a true romance that is growing on the runway as florals walk the walk, in every shade and size from naive embroidery to a riot of chiffon anemones; from sprigged prairie dresses to dark, sinuous gowns. ‘An ethereal , shimmery, intensely pure, layered, super-duper-luxe, light-as-air kind of situation.’ An essay in modern romance, full of soft, vintagey nostalgia.

These collections are renowned, and this content enables you to learn more about the techniques, formulas, cuts, styling, products and inspirations behind the latest collection. Perfect for keeping you inspired during such difficult times. Click HERE to find all the content online.
