Roman Sys – a debut

In Uncategorized by Nicky

Catching our eye at Tribu-te magazine for his part in the Brooks & Brooks art team (the Hair Pieces show was superb)… meet Roman Sys. A stylist with great taste and a passion to share his work. We enjoy his debut solo collection which shows great skill and tenderness. Browse the images and see what Roman has to say:

Roman: “This collection is a bit like a mixtape. I wanted my first collection to be for me and symbolise the headspace I was in at that time. I created this collection with zero budget, it is purely a collaboration between me and my models.

Inspiration

This is how Roman talks about the creative process:
“I had just come back from my first holiday in three years, and upon returning home I heard the song ‘Aventine’ by @agnesobel … In the fuzz of relaxation I had never felt more like myself in that one moment. Hearing the song I had the strange notion that if I was to be a song it would sound very much like this. With this in mind I wanted to create a collection of elevated casualness.

“I want to inspire young people in the industry to create for the love of the craft and show the you don’t have to have professional photographer, retoucher etc to do something of beauty and for it to be seen.”

Well you have our attention Roman! We will continue to watch.
