Rising star Amelia Wilmot is named the winner, and we give our congratulations. Here’s how the event rolls out:

Held at the packed Fallowfield Social Club in Manchester, the competition event brought together five exceptional finalists and their models. Plus there were 10 additional hair show models presented by Brooke and Georgia. This is how to inspire and encourage new talent to aim high.

The evening also featured a lively panel discussion with Brooke Evans, Joseph Ferraro, and NHBF Chief Executive Caroline Larrissey, who tackled some of the most pressing issues currently affecting the hairdressing industry. Again, supporting the future vision of our industry. We love the mix of creativity and business.

Who is Amelia Wilmot?

Based in Blackpool, Amelia is a member of Hair Socials Professional and a current Fellowship ClubStar member. Her imaginative approach and stage presence set her apart on the night, say the judges. The jury included a blend of journalists and brand representatives.

Amelia says, “Winning Quif Centre Stage has been such a surreal and proud moment for me.  It represents the chance to show my creativity and passion for hair.  For me, my look was all about movement. Fire is uncontrollable and wild and that’s exactly how I want to push myself in my career. Keep pushing the boundaries, never standing still and embracing the challenge of creating something new. It was a look that gave me a chance to create, and story tell with creative colour.

This win has given me more drive to keep pushing myself further. It was such a great day and I was honoured to be in a room surrounded with so much talent and creativity.”

Hosting the evening, Alan Howard Education Team at Host Manchester, who provided the prep area and backstage facilities for the finalists.

Quif Centre Stage is a celebration of emerging hairdressing talent, offering stylists the chance to show off their skills in a live setting. It’s interesting for also connecting with leading industry professionals. The competition highlights individual creativity and provides a platform for discussion on the future of the industry.
