This collection embraces asymmetry, abstraction, and a stark black and white palette to challenge conventional beauty norms. In Northwest by Melissa Timperly, black and white tones are used not just as colours but as conceptual opposites. Sections of jet-black hair contrast with bleached white strands in unexpected placements, creating a visual tension that feels both sculptural and poetic.

Melissa tells us: “In 2026, I think we’ll see short natural crops really take centre stage, with people fully embracing their natural texture. Scalp care is also set to boom — but more in the direction of exfoliation rather than traditional oils. My kit must-haves never change: my chopsticks for sectioning, my Alpha Italia x MT scissors, and my curly definition brush — I couldn’t work without them.”
