A colourful collection lands. The words read: “Colour, colour, colour. I feel the world needs a lot more colour.” Malisa Masci, hairdresser

“Every day after work, I take off my shoes and walk in the grass while looking up at the sky. I love the colours I see in the sky and in the nature around me. I wanted to incorporate those colours into my collection.
“The seed was first planted for this collection when I was on my daily nature walk in my local park. As I was walking, I saw two people walking in front of me with their gorgeous dog. The dog ran towards me and as I proceeded to pat the dog, I looked up and saw two smiling faces. The dog’s owners were wearing brightly coloured jackets, one bright orange, the other bright pink. This was quite unusual in Melbourne, where most people wear black particularly in the middle of winter.
“We started chatting. They told me they were from Russia and had been in Melbourne for a year. They shared how they never wanted to return to Russia. They expressed their concerns and spoke about how being born in Russia was like living in a black-and-white movie. They felt like they could never express themselves.”
“This story inspired me to bring so much colour to my collection. The more colour, the better. I have dedicated this collection to my newfound friends.”
“If I was to describe my brand, I’d say a free spirit with structure. I love striking the balance between simplicity and extravagance. I would describe my collection as extravagant simplicity. It’s a contradiction but contradictions keep life interesting. I love that I feel grounded and joyous when I look at my collection.”
