The salon software brand Floomly is coming up to a year old this October, and is proving to be a dynamic force for good! Designed by hairdressers for hairdressers to use, the newest features make it even easier to run a successful and profitable salon. Floomly is like having a new best friend, say fans of the software!
Updates to love
Fantastic Hairdresser Alan Austin-Smith is in the midst of The Passionate Profit tour which is sponsored by the brand. And the link doesn’t end there. It’s Alan’s daughter Sam Austin-Smith who created the Floomly salon software, so you have a strong sense of authenticity and integrity from the outset! Floomly is created for anyone working in a salon environment and is a profit-focused, problem-solver. Key is identifying how your business can grow and what it needs to do this.
Constantly evolving and improving its scope, the team at Floomly tell us that wwo of the most exciting developments include the launch of Floomly Pay, a fully integrated online payment system, and the Teams App, designed to drive staff performance. Other new features include foolproof email marketing options and an enhanced customer service experience.
Floomly Pay
Floomly Version 1.8 boasts a brand new Floomly Pay feature. ‘Essentially, it’s merchant services built into the software for both online bookings and in-salon use – it helps with banking and makes the payment system more streamlined and straightforward’ says Floomly founder Sam Austin-Smith. This version also incorporates an email marketing feature with an easy-to-use drag-and-drop format which allows users to build their own emails to speak directly to clients, with the option to utilise Floomly’s targeted marketing services for specific audiences.
Team App
In response to demand, Floomly has also created a brand-new Team App to assist with team performance and results. ‘This will be a powerful feature for your one-to-ones because the team will be really focused on the numbers, where they’re at and where they need to be. You have control of what they see, such as client details – you can hide whatever you need, and you have that control as a salon owner/manager. It’s going to be great for the whole team.’
Online booking
Floomly also features a fully customisable online booking facility, which can be designed to match a salon’s website. ‘You can change the background and the colours so when someone comes to your website, the online booking still feels completely on brand.’ Clients also have the option to create an account to make appointments and access past and future bookings.
Support system
Recognising the importance of a responsive customer service team in the smooth running of a salon business, Floomly also boasts one-to-one personal support. ‘Our Customer Delight team are ready to make this entire process completely stress-free. You have a dedicated person looking after you via your own WhatsApp group – there’s no emailing for a ticket number and then waiting X amount of working days for a response. You have someone there who is your contact, and you can basically message them via WhatsApp and have that personal support.’
