Go up to Scotland, enjoy Edinburgh and the lowlands, then just keep going until you hit Inverness. You’ll thank us for the tip! Here on the northern shoreline of the country, there’s a mad lot of great hairdressing going on. Latest to catch our eye is Kiku Salon.

Kiku Salon

At Kiku Salon, artistic director Paul Ralph, and creative director Hiro Kudo conspire to bring more beauty, more wow! to hairdressing. In the new salon space, with a close-knit team alongside, they take their technical mastery with international expertise and adopt a philosophy-driven approach to hairdressing. Let’s explain:

Kiku is…

The name of the Kiku salon is inspired by the Japanese verb meaning ‘to listen’. It’s this principle that will underpin all that is done here by Paul and Hiro with their team. The promise to clients is that every consultation, cut, and colour begins with understanding the client’s hair, lifestyle, and individual style. They believe this thoughtful approach will ensure results that are both creative and considered.

Collective thinking

“Listening is at the heart of our work,” says Paul Ralph. “But it’s also about collaboration. Every stylist at Kiku brings their own expertise, and together we create hair that is expressive, precise, and tailored to the individual.”
