We were thrilled to kick off the socialising in 2024 with a massive party thrown by Headmasters to celebrate the Headmasters Awards 2023. What fun to rock up to a cool London venue and meet a fabulous host in Iain Stirling (yes, the voice of Love Island). Put in the mix more than 800 hairdressers from the Headmasters salon teams across 54 salons and two academies, plus a head office posse, and it was certainly the makings of a proper bash. Such energy.

The evening opened with a dynamic hair show by the Headmasters Artistic Team lead by creative ambassadors Clare Hansford & Sian Couldridge. A slew of dancer-models showcased four themes demonstrating how society’s definition of beauty has changed over time, from Elizabethan times to modern day and beyond to what it may look like in the future. We loved the brave and challenging themes and the hair was fab indeed.
After a yummy dinner it was time to meet the ebullient comedian/host Iain Stirling – a great choice for his humour and charm. And onto the Headmasters Awards which celebrate both creativity and business successes with a total of six image awards and seven business awards. Prizes from sponsors included those offered by L’Oréal Professionnel, Redken, Kerastase, Paul Mitchell, ghd Professional, Nioxin and Shortcuts. Super generous and certainly the audience were impressed.
It was striking how the guests were ready to champion each other and share the joy for winners and losers with such good grace. The most anticipated award on the night was the live raffle that stylists have been working towards all year with every colour appointment earning them tickets for the “Every Colour Counts” Award where one lucky winner had a chance to win £10,000 to spend at Selfridges.
