Marking an illustrious 40 years in the UK hairdressing industry, Headmasters has much to celebrate! With a signature style of fashionable, confidence-boosting hair for an eclectic clientele, the name Headmasters has become synonymous with great values (think trust, integrity and compassion) as well as vibrant forward-thinking aesthetics!
In a compelling and engaging new brand campaign for 2022, we love how Headmasters reinvents the concept of story-telling, and rather than offer a creative collection, tunes in to what makes Headmasters so successful; its team. The new visuals and marketing assets give voice to a collection of the Headmasters own team-members, literally inviting them to tell the story of how this brand has become an intrinsic part of the hairdressing high street across London and the Southeast.
So we say happy birthday Headmasters and hello in particular to a select 12 members who represent an 800-strong hairdressing team working across 55 salons! This dozen individuals were chosen (after much discussion and the creation of a shortlist of 30) to attend a two-day photoshoot with leading beauty and fashion photographer Jack Eames. Their mission to simply be open and honest and share their hair story. On photograph and film, Jack has created a portrait of each one that is utterly Headmasters and what the name represents. He has put a focus on how it feels to be part of the Headmasters family, to be invested in and part of a future legacy, being offered the opportunity to seek out challenges and rewards in hairdressing as a career.
The resulting campaign is refreshing for not about trend-led looks – which Headmasters delivers perfectly, year on year. Nor is it about either promoting new techniques, or offering innovative salon-services… both of which are high on the priority list of any Headmasters salon. Rather this campaign is named #wehadmasters and demonstrates how the hairdresser – be they colourist, stylist, cutter, team-leader, award-winner or trainee – is at the heart of this modern brand.
