Great Lengths is big on gravitas – including in a list of great claims that the brand is a B Corp. So you know they’re a force for good. This is short hand for how te brand has long been blending ethical sourcing and artisan craftsmanship as well as innovation to make products of quality. So news of a launch is always interesting. Here we are now with GL Tapes Natural Cut. Find out more…
What’s new?
The launch of GL Tapes Natural Cut means clients can enjoy all the benefits of Great Lengths’ colour technology in a discreet, tape-in format. Designed with rounded corners and skin-friendly adhesive, these extensions promise to deliver a seamless, natural-looking finish that lasts 6–8 weeks. With a wide range of shades available – including Natural, Rooted, Piano, and Fashion colours – GL Tapes Natural Cut offers effortless colour-matching with zero compromise on quality.
To explain further, here is how Great Lengths works with colour. The GL 100% ethically-sourced human hair undergoes a gentle depigmentation process using an osmosis bath. This revolutionary technique removes pigment without the use of harsh bleach, preserving the natural softness and strength of the hair. It’s then expertly toned using a luxury-inspired process – adapted from the dyeing techniques used for premium cashmere – resulting in rich, consistent colour that doesn’t fade, even after weeks of wear.
What they say:
“Great Lengths are second to none when it comes to colour fade – absolutely incredible. Their unique production and colouring process means the extensions truly hold their tone. The hair doesn’t react to things like suncream or perfume. Thanks to the osmosis depigmentation and cashmere-inspired toning, the hair stays in its natural state and resists those unwanted shifts. They stay true to your perfect match, every time.”
– Kirby Blythe, Great Lengths Master
“We know how important it is for both stylists and clients to have extensions that maintain their vibrancy. With our gentle colouring process and the innovative design of GL Tapes Natural Cut, clients can trust they’re getting premium quality, ethical sourcing, and colour that lasts.”
– Jerome Wilson, Great Lengths Education Manager
“For me personally, the Great Lengths reds are incomparable to any other brand. I can apply a full set of Great Lengths bonds and five months later, the colour is still as rich and luscious as day one – straight out of the packet. That’s a game-changer, especially when working with red, which is notoriously prone to fading. The colour consistency time after time is outstanding, and it’s all thanks to the unique osmosis colouring process used in the Great Lengths factory in Italy. They use an untraditional method – in fact, it’s actually a cashmere dying technique – and that’s what gives the hair such incredible longevity and zero colour fade.” – Melanie McDonald, Salon Owner and Great Lengths National Technical Educator, Melanie Richard’s Hair & Beauty, Peterborough
