Great Lengths becomes a B Corps

In Uncategorized by Nicky

Great Lengths has announced that they are the first hair extension brand to receive the prestigious B Corporation certification. And make no mistake, this is more than an accolade, this is testament to the values and direction of this brand to behave ever more responsibly and to use sustainable ingredients and processes. It’s a big deal quite frankly!

In 2022 the client is increasingly keen to seek out brands with a purpose, by which we mean they want great products and services but choose companies that also exhibit a conscience, give something back to society and the sustain the planet. B Corp certification recognises businesses that meet high standards of performance, accountability and transparency when it comes to anything from employee benefits and charitable contribution, to supply chain practises and input materials. Let’s just say there is a strict verification process involved, so for Great Lengths to come out with B Corp status at the end of it, is seriously, seriously impressive.

There is a lot of hard work behind the scenes, over quite some time, in order to be accredited as B Corp. Great Lengths has been putting measures in place for over ten years to be more responsible towards both people and the planet. This huge accolade is the result of the company’s efforts to be more inclusive at all levels – from the welfare of its employees and the trust of its consumers, to working towards reducing the beauty footprint of the entire production chain.

There are just 4,200 businesses globally who are certified as B Corp, so to be the first extension brand to be included in this list of high flyers is kind of a big deal. “Being able to welcome Great Lengths to the B Corp community is hugely exciting,” says Chris Turner, executive director of B Lab UK. “Their commitment to doing business differently will be an inspiration to others and will really help spread the idea that we can redefine success in business to be as much about people and planet as it is about profit.

For us, creating economic value while simultaneously creating value for people and the environment has always been our approach to life” says Fabio Massimo Antonino, CEO of Great Lengths Società per azioni Società Benefit. “Today, the world is ready to receive this message, people need to see it expressed and acted out in as many different situations as possible. Therefore, also beyond the boundaries of Great Lengths, we would like to be perceived as ambassadors of these beliefs carrying a message of hope and pioneering change, where the economy, environment, and society can grow together, in harmony, supporting and improving one another.

It’s a great time to work with and for Great Lengths. Congratulations!
