Fellowship celebrations

In Uncategorized by Nicky

Marking the culmination of a long ‘Covid’ focussed year with a return to its annual awards and luncheon, the Fellowship celebrations for 2021 were indeed a revival of ‘business as usual’! This early December date in the UK hairdressing calendar always is a chance for the current Fellowship for British Hairdressing leadership team to really share their story and this year was no exception. Special mention for the friendly style of Ken Picton as President, and Ashleigh Hodges as Chancellor, who conspire to create a convivial atmosphere that is informally-formal! A swish production gives just about the right amount of gravitas whilst confirming that everyone in the room is indeed among friends. The 2021 luncheon was also marking the 75th anniversary of the Fellowship and for a community of such age, we loved how they give so much to younger hairdressers.

A good year indeed

Chairman Barry Stephens paid respect to those in the industry we had lost this year, while announcing a special Fellow of Distinction to Chris Williams at Rush Hair & Beauty, who died this year.  He also presented a cheque for £3,720 to the Hair & Beauty Charity for money raised through the special edition Fellowship 2021 Yearbook.

Scroll down for a full list of awards made, and check the smiles of the recipients – we’re looking good for 2022 its seems! Bravo to the Fellowship and thanks for an inspiring day.
