Bravo to Charlie Miller salon group in Edinburgh. The team celebrates 60 years as one of Scotland’s most enduring and artistically driven salon groups. Since 1965, the brand has built a reputation for exceptional hairdressing, creative exploration and a deep commitment to education and craft. For many years Charlie Miller himself steered the group to become a name of great repute. He was joined in time by sons Jason and Joshua Miller and daughter-in-law India. Importantly, Charlie’s wife Janet Miller has been a stalwart figure on the salon team throughout. It’s really quite an achievement.
Happily, central to the Charlie Miller story is its long-standing relationship with Tribu-te Magazine. This is a partnership built on shared creative values and a passion for inspirational hairdressing. Charlie, and Jason & India were invited to be in Tribu-te shows and as editorial guest artists of the publication in 2007 and 2008 respectively. Their extraordinary photography has graced front covers; a highlight in the brand’s creative journey. Alongside their editorial heritage, the company’s artistry has also been recognised at the British Hairdressing Awards. Here the team has received 14 titles, a testament to consistent craft and creative courage.
Reflections
Reflecting on the milestone, Jason and India shared their appreciation for Tribu-te Magazine and its role in celebrating and elevating artistry within the profession:
Jason Miller, Joint Managing Director, says: “Our collaborations with Tribu-te have been some of our most meaningful creative experiences. The magazine has always championed authenticity and artistry – values that resonate with us. Being featured on the cover and having the opportunity to share our work through photoshoots and shows has been a real honour.”
India Miller, Creative Director, says:
“Being invited to contribute as a guest artist, and seeing the artistry come to life through Tribute’s lens, has been incredibly special. The magazine understands the emotive power of hair and storytelling. Celebrating 60 years, we look back on these collaborations with pride.”
Thank you
Of course we add our response as one big thank you to the Miller family and all their teams over the years for such dedication and investment in hairdressing. UK Publisher for Tribu-te Nicky Pope says: “A name and a family synonymous with the establishment of British hairdressing being a leader worldwide. The individual and company contributions have clearly, and remarkably helped elevate standards and promote excellence. Beautiful souls and beautiful work combined.”
A message from the Charlie Miller company celebrating its actual anniversary on 16 November, added heartfelt thanks to…
- Clients, whose loyalty remains the foundation of the brand
- Team members past and present, for their creativity and dedication
- Suppliers and partners, for their support and collaboration
- Tribu-te Magazine, for championing authentic, thoughtful and beautifully crafted hair artistry
Here’s the the next 60 years!
