Blue Tit Crouch Hill

Basking in Blue Tit

Sustainable hairdressing group, Blue Tit has added to its ever-evolving portfolio with a new stylish salon in Crouch Hill, London. Inspired by minimalist Brooklyn lofts, the bespoke interior brings a touch of NYC-inspired style to the North London locals.

Blue Tit North London

From its initial salon conception in Dalston six years ago, the group has spread into eight on-trend locations. These are all between East and South London. Director, Perry Patraszewski, designs each location and their own eclectic interior in line with the brand’s ethos: that a hair appointment is an experience, not just a transaction.
Located close to local landmark, The Old Dairy, Blue Tit Crouch Hill boasts a minimalist design. This featured simplistic shapes, bold bursts of colour and raw textures….

Salon Interior

Tiled walls are tied in to the slick and simple salon interior by square-shaped backwash basins by Karisma. A feature wall of blush-pink tiles are tiles and pops of royal blue in the form of Takara Belmont styling chairs add contrast to the monochrome design of the salon. Of course, the trademark Blue Tit bird sits proudly above the product cabinets in the form of an LED light, designed by Brilliant Neon.

The clean lines and glossy interior of Blue Tit Crouch Hill offer no hint at the building’s appearance prior to re-fit. When Perry first procured the site it had no floorboards, an unusable low ceiling, and no working foundations. Aside from salvaging an original brick wall – now an NYC-inspired feature wall – the entire salon was re-built from scratch. Taking design inspiration from the existing flaws, Perry  fitted a skylight above the backwashes to adapt to the ceiling height, whilst giving the space a bright and airy ambience, and the perfect lighting for colour treatments.

Blue Tit Co-Director Perry says: “My favourite feature is the pink tiled wall in the reception and bar area. A year ago I would never have chosen pink tiles. Now the playfulness and warmth of the colour has made me fall so in love with it. I’m seriously considering including the same wall in the house I’m currently building, too.”
Blue Tit Crouch Hill is modern, stylish and playful – a true reflection of the evolving Blue Tit brand. J’adore.
