Celebrating its 12th year, the 2024 edition of the Great Lengths GLammies awards was a party indeed. Glamorous, glitzy and good natured, the winners of this prestigious contest were announced. Highlighting the exceptional talent, creativity and business of hair extensions, we’ve come to regard the GLammies as a mark of accomplishment in the world of hair extensions.
Onstage in Manchester on 22nd June, 11 trophies were presented to a highly excited posse of finalists! 150 guests watched as proceedings were presided over by hosts Dom Lehane and James Henderson – Great Lengths Little Princess Trust Ambassador and owner of M Hair Salon in Nottingham. The awards had been judged by some of hairdressing’s most respected names, along with editors from the industry press (yes! Tribu-te Magazine included).
Presentations and trophies
There were 11 trophies including specialist categories, and the highest accolade as the Great Lengths Trophy for Extension Excellence. This last going to an extensionist who has demonstrated outstanding work. For 2024 this is Melanie Richards Hair & Beauty!
In addition to a prestigious GLammies trophy, winners in each category are awarded an exclusive tour of the Great Lengths production factory in Rome. This prize includes two nights of accommodation, meals, and internal transfers for two people.
“Once again, the GLammies by Great Lengths have spotlighted the incredible extensionists within our industry,” said Joscelin McCourt, CEO of HB Collective, home of Great Lengths hair extensions. “The 2024 winners should feel immensely proud – their creativity, passion, and precision are truly inspiring, and we are delighted to recognise and celebrate their exceptional talent.“
