Take a masterclass in colour placement with two of our most revered colourists: Lesley Jennison and Grace Dagleish. Here in part of the Essential Looks collection 2023 for Schwarzkopf Professional, the two give us an insight into their imagination with colour work.
The Misfits: Look 1
A colourist with a discipline in technique that gives her the ultimate freehand in artistic work, Lesley Jennison was awarded The One With Colour Vision trophy 2022, and you can see why. Here, in The Misfits capsule collection, she shows how a haircut of perfect execution gives her a pure canvas for colour. 
Commenting on this look, Lesley tells us: “Placement always wins:Colour is used sparingly, yet creating maximum impact.”
Accomplished session and studio stylist Tyler Johnston created this cut as a perfect canvas on which Lesley could work. “It’s the texture that elevates and modernises the entire aesthetic,” says Tyler.
The Misfits: Look 2
In the second look, Grace Dagleish reinvents the global norms of colour application with the #CoolUpliftedHuesSalonService – adding highs, lows and dimension to create something more interesting and personalised.
Grace says: “Always approach colour creatively to create something which elevates the norm.” She worked alongside cut and styling by Tyler Johnston who says: “A strong fringe with the edges textured and broken elevates the look to a different dimension.”
