We’re all fired up for awards season and suggest you start planning for 2024 with a look at the Revlon Professional Visionaries 2024 programme. This is a chance to work with Mark Leeson, global ambassador for the brand who will be your mentor for a year. Excellent indeed!
The search is on…
Essentially, being a member of Revlon’s Visionaries is one of the most powerful programmes for anyone looking to elevate their skill set, whether it is salon, session or editorial techniques. The programme includes presentation skills, photographic shoots, plus PR and social networking sessions, which will help elevate each person beyond recognition.
Mark tells us this: “Alongside creative skills, our previous candidates have benefited from a real boost in confidence.” “Anyone lucky enough to make it through will see their careers catapulted to the next level.”
The scheme is open to all Revlon Professional® salons. There is no upper limit on age, but to be considered, applicants must be a hairdresser and a colourist with a minimum of 4 years hairdressing experience, to include an NVQ 2 qualification plus two years’ salon experience. Applicants will be asked to provide a before/after of a fashion forward image showcasing an ‘on-trend’ haircut enhanced by beautiful colour via a digital entry form.
An experience money can’t buy
The Visionaries for 2023 included: Danny Malone at Macc Hair • Ashley Long at Directors • Dodge Mackay at Andrew Jose • Jessie Roux at Pink Soda Hair • Emy Roccabella at Danilo Hair Boutique
Let’s hear from the team:
Danny Malone: “It’s a ‘money can’t buy’ experience. You’re going to get to shoot with amazing photographers, meet new friends and get to do things you’d never imagined.”
Ashley Long: “My confidence has grown massively just from being involved and being around such creative people. I’ve learnt so much – even from the other team members.”
Jessie Roux: “This experience has taken my skills and confidence to a whole new level. I’ve met A LOT of talented people and I am beyond grateful. I’ve stepped out from my little pond and I’m now swimming with the big fish.”
Applications close on Friday 26th January 2024, and then 12 finalists will be chosen by a team of judges. The final will take place at the Revlon Professional® Academy in Leeds on Monday 12th February 2024 where shortlisted candidates will be asked to recreate their model (colour and hairstyle) in front of a panel of industry judges. The four successful finalists will be announced the following day as the Visionaries 2024.
As if anyone needed any more encouragement to apply, Mark Leeson adds, “This opportunity to network, meet people, gain knowledge, and put yourself forward, will get you noticed and let people know who you are and what you’re about. One day you’ll be inspiring the next generation of hopefuls yourself.”
