Please be upstanding for Zoë Irwin. A woman of great integrity, insight and talent in the field of colour work. This month, at The Big One Trophy awards in London, publisher Nicky Pope announced Zoë as The One With Colour Vision 2023. She was astonished and surprised. But shouldn’t have been. Zoë is a worthy winner of the title.
Zoe Irwin: The One with Colour Vision 2023
Two years ago we launched this trophy for The Big One UK edition. We created it in honour of Chris Williams, the International Colour Director at Rush Hair who died suddenly. We wanted to uphold the values we saw in Chris; to recognise someone who really influences change, drives trends and literally brings new ways to appreciate and promote to colour work. It felt apt to cal it The One with Colour Vision
Zoë Irwin: award-winner 2o23
For the 2023 trophy The One With Colour Vision, it was an easy choice to, honour someone who really has been massively important over a career spanning more than 30 years. Tribu-te initially met Zoe Irwin working at a London Salon (Stage Door), and followed her career as she came to embrace stage and education work.
Her style was always soft yet edgy. In the very first ever Tribu-te Show in 2006 she wowed a Paris audience with her skill and utter chicness – not easy to impress the French, but she did. She has been our guest three times in London and Paris. Always an intriguing and talented presenter.
As well as working and leading salon teams, and being a wow on stage, Zoe’s gone on to work as a session stylist, an educator, a trend forecaster and commentator. In fact she’s carved out quite the portfolio role in hairdressing.
In 2020, Zoë was the guest for Tribu-te Magazine’s Summer edition, and created the most beautiful collage for our pages. Her cover choice -working with Nuno de Costa was spectacular. 
Thank you to Zoë for being part of the Tribu-te Magazine family and continuing to be resourceful and passionate about promoting colour. A valuable link between trade and consumer, she is really something!Bravo.
