We don’t see salons collaborating to create a collection too often, so we are glad when this happens and especially when the result is so beautiful and interesting. The collection is titled Cobelle and it’s a two salon collaboration between Cobelle Creative and AJO Salon from Brisbane in Australia.
Great minds…
Cobelle is a photographic collection formed from the collaboration of creative minds. It’s an aesthetic harmony between two artists from two different salons; a beautiful collision of cut and colour. And this is what makes it even greater.
Every image tells its own story through hand placed pigments, each colour boldly speaking to its contrast. Gaining inspiration from the allure and artistry of stained-glass windows, the chosen palette has more meaning than meets the eye. Each look prominently features a tonal family. Each look is brought to life with pops of colour featuring tones that sit opposing on the colour wheel. Visual placement of colour allows a unique and personalised application on every canvas. Two opposing colours melting together to create a marbled and mottled saturation over the hair. Marbled colour softens the strong lines of each haircut, giving the styles individual character. The dark black clothing is a nod to period gothic architecture, traditionally complimenting stain glass windows. The colours, cuts, makeup and styling come together to create a beautiful art form and representation of a beautiful collaboration.
