Delivering a masterclass in personalisation, the new-look Barberology shop in central Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter is a delight!
Traditional yet friendly
As well as throwing himself whole-heartedly into the heritage of barbering by having traditional-style Takara Belmont chairs, basins and tiling among the fittings and fixtures, owner Adam Gore has added superb touches that shout individuality. He’s after the cheeky ‘Peaky Blinders‘ vibe evidently, with humour and machismo in equal measure.
Barberology individuality
We adore the signage and the decor. Adam’s been really clever to ensure he proclaims clearly the purpose of the 1700 square feet of space set in a fashionable yet historical area yet makes it his own, too.
There is plenty of modern street art by James Cauty and cult Obey pieces by Shepard Fairey; included to add a relatable, fun aspect to the new salon space and complete the desired effect that Barberology’s recent revamp has had: that of getting Birmingham’s coolest clients talking.
Adam says: “When I set about designing the look and feel of Barberology’s revamped Jewellery Quarter location, I wanted to create a place where clients could come and relax. In fact, more than that, I wanted every client to feel like they’d stepped inside their favourite pub, and that’s exactly what I feel we have achieved. We wanted an environment where all the senses come alive, which has been achieved through the devil in the detail within everything from the design and décor to the music, fragrance and artwork. I feel with this interior we have stamped our true vision into Barberology, which will allow us to take the business into a new era in style.”
