Iceland, the land of fire and ice, was chosen as the 2019 setting for the most recent edition of Davines’ World Wide Hair Tour and what a setting it proved to be.
The rugged beauty of the country, where the powerful forces of nature are evident in the hot springs and volcanic landscape, is a perfect foil for a brand which is founded on thoughtful, environmental ethics.
Shows by Allilon Education, Anna Pacitto and Michael Polsinelli were our highlights, but unsurprisingly it was Davines’ International Artistic Director Angelo Seminara who stole the show for us. Appearing on stage during a live rendition of Massive Attack’s ethereal track Teardrop (performed by the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra no less) Angelo held the whole auditorium gripped… And he did not disappoint. It was just magic.
