“The aim today is to get the hair to look as glossy and sharp as possible, almost fake looking. There’s a strong synthetic feeling running through Jeremy’s collection and we are taking that and very much running with it”, says session stylist Eugene Souleiman backstage at Jeremy Scott AW18.
Vibrant colours, glossy fabrics and the late 60’s nod of Jeremy Scott’s collection inspired Eugene’s neon geometric bobs. Wigs in shades of neon from lilac to electric yellow were blow dried and straightened with the new ghd Gold Professional Styler to create hyper-real perfection. Speaking about the hairdresser that inspired the blunt, space-age bobs, Eugene stated, “It is, in some ways, a homage to Vidal Sassoon and his cuts. When perfection becomes more than perfection it becomes unreal.”
On his Space Age collection, Jeremy Scott commented, “There’s so much serious shit going on in the world, the last thing I wanna be is another one of them.”
