September 17th 2017 proved an auspicious date for us at Tribu-te magazine! This is our 12th year presenting the Tribu-te Show and the latest French edition was a triumph – our best yet! Playing once again in our favourite Parisian theatre – La Cigale theatre in Montmartre – we invited six of the best artists in Europe to present their ideas, creating an extraordinary evening’s entertainment. More than 900 guests went wild showing their appreciation. Here’s our short report – browse the pictures we show here – it’s only a taster of the event but a good indicator of the enormous talent present. Thank you all for your wonderful support. See you in London next month…. (but if you’ve not yet bought a ticket, be quick, there are only a few left… click HERE).
• Robert Lobetta
returns to hairdressing after an 8-year sabbatical! Opening Tribu-te show, he told us that as part of a new role with Sebastian Professional, he will be getting as many people on stage as possible. Proving a point with a large team alongside, his main focus is individualism – telling the audience to take part, and ‘own your face’…
• Zoe Irwin
– a global ambassador at ghd Professional – presented two really ‘cool’ models, braiding and twisting the hair, and emphasising that ‘individualising’ is her key message this season
• Sassoon Academy
was represented by Danielle Harvey, who worked calmly and beautifully to present hair cuts worthy of Vidal himself. It is hairdressing purity, no words, only craftsmanship
• Shane Bennett
is a key artist for the brand Goldwell, and showcased his fabulous Sublime Morose collection. He proved his skill with colour using metallics to bring out shape in sharply cut looks on stage
• Christophe Gaillet
presented his Bloody Mary looks, inspired by passion and revolution. Hair was wrapped around pins as figure of 8 to create texture – then sheared off to evolve the look. For a grand finish, Christophe ‘injected’ red into the hair to flow down the scalp to the dress
• Skyler McDonald
appeared courtesy of Redken and won the crowd with her experimental, brave foray into colour play. She worked her magic and counselled that, if you don’t get it right, try again! Play with paint and put something new in the hair
