L'Oréal Colour Trophy

L’Oréal Colour Trophy live

The 2021 edition of the L’Oréal Colour Trophy live streaming was a masterclass in slick production, epic hairshows and all round smooth operating. We were there to witness an awesome celebration of 65 years of this competition with the best colour on offer.

Billed as an evening of glamour and glitz, L’Oréal Professionnel opened up the live filming/streaming event last Monday 13th September, allowing a posse of privileged guests to watch from a VIP balcony seat. It was testament to the supremely high production values of the crew and hairdressers presenting – we were impressed. Hosting the show, DJ Vick Hope was a cool yet excited mistress of ceremonies with the likes of Adam Reed, Siobhan Jones, Nathan Walker and Rob Eaton helping her announce the winners of the actual Colour Trophy 2021 contest.

Live hair shows

Four salon show teams provided the high-octane hair glamour. High fives indeed to them all. We loved how Brooks&Brooks opened with a show named Borderless which transported us to another dimension.  Sally and Jamie Brooks lead their team and showed what we know to be true; they are the epitome of polish and excellence on stage.  The Dublin-based Sugar Culture group shared a vitual immersive experience on the subject of equality and individuality, with Toni&Guy also sharing a beautiful film where high fashion and ethereal drama collide. The colour show by Rush Hair & Beauty smashed it for us. Virtual Transition used CGI to blue real life with the digital world. Study the photographs carefully – the colour world is simply sublime.
